Our Story

Jay Japan is our original character (OC) anime and Japanese streetwear apparel brand that caters to anyone and everyone that has a love and admiration of Japanese culture and anime. Our brand believes that no matter where you are in the world (from the popular cities to the small cities), everyone can have an admiration to Japanese culture and their pop culture such as anime, manga, gaming, etc.

Founded in 2018 at the state of Louisiana, the mission for our anime brand is to spread our love and passion for anime culture with popular anime series such as Naruto, ONE PIECE, Demon Slayer, and other popular series that fans around the world know and love.

However, in 2020, the COVID pandemic rocked tons of people around the world, and we’re forced to temporarily shut down our doors to think of a different approach on how we can change things for our brand. During the COVID pandemic, where lots of anime fans (like us) are locked down and catching up on their favorite anime series or reading their favorite manga series, we’ve made the critical decision to create something that’s originally ours and ours alone.

While we do love the popular anime series, Jay Japan wants to create something that not just have all our customers love and adore, but to have something that is original and authentic to us, and to have a legacy that people would remember for years to come.

Because of that, we’ve tried many ways to showcase our craft from inside and outside the store for the anime world (and outside of the anime world) to see and admire.

With our designs that you’ll never see anywhere else and our beloved brand’s mascot (Kira Yamada), we love for you to not only shop at our store but to be a part of our brand and our legacy for years to come!
