Vibe Check #1 (August 2023)

Welcome to the very first Vibe Check for Jay Japan. Mainly our Vibe Check would be something interested that happened that deals with Japan, anime, or anything from the top of my head.

Check #1: ZOM 100: Bucket List of the Dead

I was searching around Netflix trying to find a really cool anime to watch that's for this year and it won't take a while for me to catch up such as tons of seasons or tons of episodes (since my binge watching isn't really the greatest....)

I found it super interesting since it's a protagonist that tries to do whatever he can before he "apparently" turns himself to a zombie. So my question would be is he going to throw himself into a pile of zombies the moment he's finished with the bucket list? Or he'll just let a zombie bite him and he just stand still.

It'll be a great anime for me to watch in that's from this year since there are tons of anime series popping out in almost a monthly basis. Hopefully you guys can check it out!

Check #2: FLCL Marathon on Toonami

FLCL (or Fooly Cooly) was an anime I had heard for a while but never fully got the chance to be invested on the series since Toonami doesn't really air the show a lot compared to shows like Dr. Stone, ONE PIECE, or My Hero Academia. So because FLCL is going to have another season coming out in September meaning they had a small marathon of the first season and the second season (in which I didn't realize they had a second season until I actually watched a couple of random episodes during the marathon).

I don't dislike FLCL at all. It's one of those anime series where (in my opinion) it's kinda hard to fully sit down and watch compared to the other series that came out around that era. 

Do I want to give it a shot? Why not? It seems to be really good, and I hope I can catch up on it even with the new season coming out.

 Check #3: BLUE LOCK Manga

Reading the BLUE LOCK manga was amazing since seeing the journey of Isagi going from barely making it to Wing Z to becoming one for the golden boys of the BLUE LOCK program and taking over the world. 

My concerning thing I want to see for season 2 would be how they can translate the skills from Rin Itoshi and Shidou Ryusei from the manga to the anime. I'm already on chaper 211 on the manga and it's super hard for me to put the manga down since I am so interested in soccer. In all honesty, I haven't been this interested in a soccer anime ever since Inazuma

Eleven and Giant Killing (it's that good that I even skipped Aoashi to watch and read the series). 

I didn't realize it could be that popular for the entire world. it has been that popular that even the show itself collaborate with Liverpool and Inter Milan, one of the most notable football clubs in not only in Europe but in the entire world. 

With season 2, a movie, and the Nagi substory coming in 2024, I cannot wait for the anime to come out and I'll would drop everything for the first episode to be released.
