Hello, everyone! Welcome to the second edition of Kira of the Month, where we showcase what our mascot, Kira Yamada, has been doing for

 the month! Let's see what she's been doing for February.

Summary

Awwww now isn't that the sweetest thing~

In February, when Valentine's Day is known for showing love and affection, Kira gives us a touching Valentine's Day card.

Although she's wearing our outfit as always, she still gave her time away to give us something thoughtful for Valentine's Day!

Thanks so much, Kira-chan! I do appreciate that you put your thoughts and emotions on the card.

Why are you blushing so much?! It's the first time I've seen you blush at something like this, Kira-chan!

Behind the Scenes

What was the initial idea behind this month’s Kira design?

The initial idea for this month’s Kira design was to celebrate Valentine’s Day for everyone and anyone. So, our theme was simply having Kira give you a Valentine’s Day card.

Were there any specific themes, anime influences, or references that inspired this look?

I was mainly inspired by certain themes that slice-of-life anime series tend to do when it comes to romance. The most common thing I tend to see is someone either having tons of romantic letters on their letter or someone trying to use a love letter to confess their feelings to someone.

Were there multiple sketches or versions? If so, what were the main differences?

Yes, there were two sketches for the Valentine’s Day version. The first one shows Kira scratching her face a little as she’s giving you a romance letter, making it look like she’s cheeky but still shy to give you the letter.

In the second one, Kira moves in the same motion, but she puts her hand on the back of her head while writing a love letter to you.

What made you choose this final design over other options? (e.g. hair length, outfit, pose)

I chose this final design because I like how she showcases a little shyness that seems natural to her.

Is there a hidden detail or Easter egg in the design?

For this month, there are not many hidden details or Easter eggs in this design. I just want it to have something simple for Valentine’s Day.

What would it be if Kira had a personality or story for this month’s look?

Kira’s story for this month is she’s happy and touched that she wants to give you a Valentine’s Day card for someone who wants a Valentine’s this year.
